Mythologial story of a King Banasur, who was a great devotee of Lord Shiva. Banasur grew great and powerful with a boon from Lord Shiva that he could not be defeated by any outside enemy, and conquered the neighboring kingdoms and torturing his Vaishnav subjects and converting them forcibly into Shaivites. Amidst this torturous rule, the marriage problem of his daughter Usha beset Banasur and the fear of his daughter marrying a Vaishnav instilled in him through a premonition in his dream, which subsequently compelled him to take steps of imprisoning his daughter in a place so that she would give up the idea of marriage. By a twist of fate, while Usha tries to find a solution for a peaceful rule of her dreaded father she falls in love with Anirudh, the grandson of Lord Krishna who appears to her in a dream. Usha's friend Chitralekha helps her to fulfill the dream, by secretly kidnapping the prince Anirudh from Dwaraka while he is asleep, and bringing him to her palace along with his ...
