Julia and Steven are on a weekend trip to visit Julia's family on the remote Savage Island. Upon arriving they are embroiled in an intense feud between the Young family (Julia's family) and the Savage family, the only other residents living on the island. The Savages take the term 'hillbilly' to a new level and are out to claim a baby from the Young family as payment for the death of their son who was accidentally run over by Julia's pot-smoking younger brother.
