When Karen Hamilton is diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, her husband Dr. Simon Hamilton embarks on a quest to find a cure, with his mentor and friend, renowned Scientist Anders Baeklund. After many years of research, their work leads to the discovery of the X-Gene, which would revolutionize the medical world overnight. However, the X-Gene also has dangerous unpredictable properties and is proving to be the missing link in the Military's pursuit for developing a super soldier. Now a cat and mouse chase begins, with Hamilton and Baeklund in the cross-hairs of the Military-industrial complex and the Medical Industry (Big Pharma) who want control of the technology at any cost.
