10 years after the Project XIII Crisis, Anderson Labs, led by Nick and Derek Anderson struggles to cure the remaining infected in a world that has been ravaged by not only zombies, but nuclear holocaust as well, causing most zombies to evolve into irradiated monsters who are almost impossible to kill. This, on top of a scheme to use what is known as N.E.D (Neurologically Enhanced Dead) Technology to create an army of zombies. The Mercs, Derek (Mudd) Carmen (Newgen) and Penny (June) must embark on a secret mission, unknown to everyone, including the government, to procure the last of the antidote that Anderson Labs created, to attempt to restore order in what's left of the world.
