Nabarag(renewal of love) is a film on the complex relationship between a husband and his wife.Narayani, a poor village girl is brought to Kolkata and married to a big businessman.Narayani becomes a modern and sophisticated lady and takes the name Rina. Their son Raja, grows up thoroughly spoiled and unaffected by the simplicity retained by his mother who has roots in the village. He is arrogant enough to fire all the workers demonstrating at their gate. Nanda da, seemingly an eccentric looking man with an ambition of helping children to grow as a proper man arrives in the scene. Rina, concerned about here son's upbringing secretly maneuvers and shifts her only son Raja to a institute of child development, owned and managed by her Nanda da. This incident caused Bipul(Uttam Kumar) to lose his head and the police was set after the workers of his industry.
