Unfortunately, no one can change Sokratis' mind--the old-fashioned, strong-minded father of beautiful Sofia--who has decided to marry off his daughter to a wealthy compatriot who's more to his liking. However, not if Sofia's progressive and kind-hearted uncle, Ippokratis, can help it. As a result, Uncle Ippokratis sets his sights on helping his niece walk down the aisle with the man of her dreams, the impecunious young lawyer, Aristides, and in the meantime, improve the relationship between his nephew and Sofia's brother, Petros, and Sokratis.
