Didier 's wife is ill ,and he does the best he can to take care of her.But he's often absent and he has casual love affairs .But Leone he meets in Bruxelles wants to become his one and only mistress.She blackmails him.Panic-stricken ,he accidentally kills her and throws her body in a pond. But the corpse is found and the police are soon on the trail of Didier .He denies having done it ,because it's more than his sick wife can endure.But his alibi is not enough ,even though the police have no evidence.
