In 1991, the year when the 10th Hwaseong serial murder occurred, a girl disappeared in Hwaseong (a synonym for ‘Mars’ in Korean). Chun-hee lives in Seoul in 2009 and has the eyes of the missing girl. She got a cornea transplant with her father’s help in 1991. A cornea can only be obtained as a result of somebody’s death. Chun-hee works at a real estate agency and introduces land scheduled for redevelopment. Eventually, she goes to work on a deal in Hwaseong which is now being developed into a high tech industrial city. She now goes to Mars.
