Competition between local parents is fierce, so Stuart and Alison lie about their religion to get Lucy in. That apparently simple lie spirals into fraud, blackmail and murder. Preparing for a tough interview with the school’s principal (Lesley Manville - Vera Drake, Poirot: Cards On The Table), they are introduced to a priest (David Warner - Hornblower, Titanic) who is prepared to verify their story and give Lucy a crash course in Catholicism – for a price. The real cost to the family soon emerges, as Stuart discovers the priest’s dark secret and finds himself in the frame for murder.
