Sigur Rós 给了许多电影工作者相同的经费预算，请他们把听到每首新歌，第一个脑海里浮现的画面给拍摄出来。这个实验计划的点子，是要影片工作者能够抛开席格若斯的认同，让他们能够呈现最有创意的一面，这项计划的影片制作人有 Ramin Bahrani、Alma Har'e l、Joh n Cameron Mitchell 以及 Ryan McGinley。席格若斯不想要事先在专辑出来之前先有任何的预先立场，也不想告诉听众如何去感受和从这张专辑获得到什么，当然团员没有人会知道导演将会拍出些什么影片给他们。 导演评论：sigur rós's music always evokes a strong emotional feeling in me. the film tells the story about a young girl sara, played by elle fanning, who confronts the imminent death of her father, played by john hawkes. the story is set in the desolate landscape of an economic collapse. it's about the fine line between keeping it together and the feeling of helplessness when life just doesn't work any longer. but the story is not only about sorrow, but about hope, love and the loss of fear, rebirth and reincarnation. the idea that we possibly have travelled through time with the same souls in different roles. the daughter now holds her father as he begins a new life in her arms. it was a rewarding experience working with both elle and john. i highly respect both their talents. 导演简介：floria sigismondi was born in pescara, italy and grew up in canada raised by opera singing parents. she studied fine art at ocad in toronto, which has led to a painterly esthetic to her photography and film work. the german art press die gestalten verlag has published two monographs of her photography, redemption (1999) and immune (2005). apart from her art and photography, which have been exhibited around the world, she is best known for writing and directing the runaways, starring kristen stewart and dakota fanning. sigismondi's provocative music videos have featured such luminaries as david bowie, björk, the cure, the white stripes, katy perry, pink, marilyn manson, fiona apple, leonard cohen and sigur rós. she has a history with sigur ros that spans 10 years. her first sigur rós video, "untitled", won best international video award at the 2003 mtv european awards. she is currently developing her second motion picture.
