The third episode in the series Os 4 elementos (O Fogo). Beatriz and Armando are twenty-year-old twins, and one day their life's wish comes true: they join the fire department. Armando saves a charming next-door-neighbor. The two become first friends and then lovers. Beatriz has a strange symptom: she constantly hears the crackling of flames. At first she makes a type of walkman which isolates her from the rest of the world, but she later discovers that the only remedy is kissing. She therefore goes in search of men, especially tourists, who she will never see again. In the end, Beatriz' behavior causes her estrangement from her brother, and because of her, Armando's girlfriend leaves him.
