SYNOPSIS Min-ae's stepmother forces her to marry Sung-ho, a neighborhood lad. They go and live nearby a military base town. Due to Sung-ho's wild ways, Min-ae's dreams of a happy newlywed life are crushed. After Min-ae sees Sung-ho meeting with a barmaid, she takes their daughter Kyung-ae and goes to Seoul. Min-ae overcomes much hardship and makes a place for herself and her daughter. However, Sung-ho appears before her and begs for her forgiveness. He asks for money to start a business. Min-ae gets into debt coming up with the money. But it is all a lie. Min-ae has now become a hostess known as Miss Kim at a room salon. There, she meets an architect named Hyun-seok. When Min-ae hears that her daughter, Kyung-ae, is in an orphanage after she was taken by her father, she and Hyun-seok go to get her. They all live happily together. Sung-ho comes again to take Kyung-ae.
