Scarred for life by a hideous mark on her otherwise unblemished beautiful face, the young recluse, Christina, is absolutely convinced that no man will ever love her. Under those circumstances, the sour pessimist's only refuge in a life of self-imposed confinement is her regular and detailed correspondence with the well-spoken stranger, Stefanos, who seems to be the ideal partner.
