Manos, a successful singer with a heart of gold, is in love with the orphaned florist, Anna. As one thing leads to another, Manos and Anna decide to get married; however, the sudden arrival of Anna's estranged father, who's been living in Canada for the past seventeen years, becomes an insurmountable obstacle to their happiness. As the long-forgotten biological parent tries to talk Anna into following her to Thessaloniki and renounce Spiros, her foster, alcohol-dependent father, once-happy Manos is smitten by cruel fate.
